The Second Annual Santa Cruz Mini Maker Faire is a family-friendly event that celebrates the inventiveness her in the Santa Cruz community. The Mini Maker Faire allows creators and tinkerers to showcase their work to the community, while the public comes to enjoy hands-on, interactive experiences, connect with like-minded people, and to be inspired. Maker Faire supports the ideas of passionate innovation, collaboration and joyful connection with others, and hands-on doing as a way of experiencing the world.

Santa Cruz has a vibrant maker’s scene. The Mini Maker Faire will help makers network with other makers, and provides opportunities for individuals and companies to showcase their innovative nature and new products. If you attend, you’ll be inspired and educated by the amazing and creative makers who live and work in our community.

Maker Faire originated in 2006 in the San Francisco Bay Area as a project of the editors of Make: magazine.  It has since grown into a significant worldwide network of both flagship and independently-produced events.  Read more on Maker Faire history, the Maker Movement, as well as how to start a Maker Faire or a School Maker Faire where you live.
